Betsy Wandtke was formerly the Director of Operations for “Weatherby Foundation International” and Dan Harrison was an ambassador for “Congressional Sportsman’s Foundation” and “American Hero Adventures”. He also owns and operates “Harrison’s Hunting”, guiding hunters all over the Rocky
Mountain west and host hunts as far as northern Manitoba for Canadian moose.
Dan and Betsy’s passion for the outdoors brought them together at a “Safari Club International” convention. They became friends and realized that they shared more than just excitement for hunting and fishing.

They both had been on separate paths to get youth and women introduced to the wonders of nature and hunting/fishing. With other like-minded friends, they formed a nonprofit – “The Great American Mentors” matching outdoor mentors and youth on life-altering trips. Over the years, the nonprofit evolved to “Reloading our Heritage” complete with videos of kids experiencing many “firsts” in the field.
Dan and Betsy loved to hunt/fish in the United States, but decided they wanted to be more adventurous and explore other parts of the world. They found that there were many others interested in new hunting experiences, but were unsure of where to go or how to book an outdoor adventure abroad. Dan and Betsy decided to form a new business dedicated to global adventures. “DB Global Safari’s” was
formed. Dan, Betsy and their counterparts specialize in finding the perfect place to hunt…and more. They will also help their clients fill out their pre-trip paperwork and get the permits they need. “DB Global Safari’s” wants to educate their clients about the little nuances that a seasoned traveler would be privy to, allowing the travelers to really enjoy their next great adventure.
